Research and Development Centre Novasome Sp. z o.o. is a company providing research and development as well as expert and analytical services in the field of medicine, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry.
The offer of CBR Novasome includes the design and optimization of research processes, the development of pharmaceutical formulation, largely oral dosage forms such as tablets, coated tablets and soft gelatin capsules, as well as cosmetic products. The company also develops dermatological preparations in the form of ointments, creams and gels, including liposome gels in a laboratory- and pilot plant scale using Franz diffusion tests. An important element of the centre's activities is the performance of transfers of developed analytical methods and technology from laboratory scale to industrial scale, as well as the preparation of reviews of literature and a registration dossier (CTD format) with particular regard to module 3, including the quality of the medicinal product.
The company CBR Novasome was founded in 2004 as a spin-off subsidiary and in 2008 it received funding for the implementation of the project "The Transformation of CBR Novasome Sp. z o.o. into a Research and Development Centre" within the framework of the Innovative Economy Operational Programme, Priority Axis 4, Action 4.2: Stimulating R&D activities of enterprises and support for industrial design.
As a confirmation and summary of the exceptionally rich contribution of CBR Novasome into research and development in 2014 the company was in an elite group of entities which were granted the status of a research and development centre (Decision of 14th May 2014 issued by the Minister of Economy). The award of the CBR status contributed to the growth of innovation in respect of developed projects as well as originality and ingenuity of implemented projects. Therefore, CBR Novasome has become a leader in the development of the latest technologies in the pharmaceutical industry.
CBR Novasome, as a scientific research and development unit, develops its innovation potential through regular cooperation with pharmaceutical companies, universities, including the University of Wrocław, Wrocław Medical University, Wrocław University of Technology, Medical University of Poznań and the Institute of Low Temperature and Structure Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław.
