SIMETIKON - HASCO

Against flatulence and excessive gathering of gases. Owing to its defoaming properties, simethicone is used as an auxiliary agent in gas removal before diagnosis like ultrasonography, radiography and endoscopy of the abdominal cavity. 

The preparation acts in the stomach and intestines by changing the surface tension on the border of phases between the liquid content of the alimentary tract and gas bubbles.  It eases the fusing of gas bubbles gathered in the chyme and saliva, and their subsequent transit along the intestine.  The gases are removed from the alimentary tract by means of rebounding, passing winds or increased gas absorption into the blood.
