One tablet contains 25 mg of sildenafil (as citrate)
Mensil medicinal product is intended for adult men with erectile dysfunction, that is inability to get or maintain an erection sufficient for sexual intercourse.
Mensil will only help you to get an erection if you are sexually stimulated.
As sildenafil affects metabolic changes that involve nitrogen oxide and cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), it intensifies the hypotensive effect of nitrates. Simultaneous use of sildenafil with medicines releasing nitrogen oxide (such as amyl nitrite) or nitrates in any form is therefore contraindicated.
Simultaneous use of PDE5 inhibitors, including sildenafil, with medicines stimulating guanylyl cyclase, such as riociguat, is contraindicated, as it may cause symptomatic arterial hypotension.
The use of medicinal products for treating erectile dysfunction, including sildenafil, is contraindicated in men for whom sexual activity is inadvisable (e.g. patients with severe cardiovascular disorders such as unstable angina pectoris or severe congestive heart failure).
The use of Mensil medicinal product is contraindicated in patients who have lost eyesight in one eye as a result of non-arteritic anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy – NAION, whether or not related to prior exposition to PDE5 inhibitor.
Safety of use of sildenafil was not tested in the following groups of patients: patients with acute liver failure, hypotonia (blood pressure <90/50 mm Hg), recovering from a stroke or myocardial infarction and with hereditary retinal degeneration, e.g. retinitis pigmentosa (a small number of these patients have genetic retinal phosphodiesterase abnormalities). The use of sildenafil in such patients is contraindicated.
