The first medicine made by the Wrocław-based company was the Tussipini cough syrup. An important milestone came in 1999, when, as the first pharmaceutical company in the world, Hasco-Lek started the production of soft gelatin capsules using the matrix method, encapsulating a liquid substance – loratadine. The company was founded in 2002. Currently, it distributes to 16 provinces from its two state-of-the-art logistics centres. One of the centres is located in Wrocław, where the company handles mostly wholesale orders. The second logistics centre, located in Łódź, prepares orders directly for pharmacies.
PCF Procefar meets the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards, which guarantees that the warehoused pharmaceutical products are safe.
In 2015, the company was awarded the Certificate of Business Credibility from Bisnode Polska. The Certificate is granted to companies whose financial standing gives an assurance of excellent viability, financial strength and liquidity, with an insignificant amount of debts or registered overdue payments.
Since 2019, PCF Procefar Sp. z o.o. has been working with the global brand OMRON Healthcare, which is the world leader in the sales of blood pressure monitors and nebulizers used in the treatment of respiratory conditions.
The offer of Novasome includes the design and optimisation of research processes, the development of pharmaceutical formulations for tablets and coated tablets and cosmetics. The company is also developing epidermal formulations in the form of ointments, creams and gels, including liposome gels on laboratory and semi-technical scales using Franz chamber diffusion tests. A significant part of the Centre’s activity is conducting transfers of the developed analytical methods and technologies from the laboratory scale to the industrial scale, as well preparing reviews of literature and creating registration dossiers (in CTD format) with particular regard to module 3, concerning the quality of the medicinal product. As a confirmation and acknowledgement of the extremely rich contribution of Novasome to the research and development, by the decision of the Minister of Economy, the company joined the elite group of entities with the status of a research and development centre. The granting of this title resulted in increased innovativeness of the products developed and the projects carried out. Thanks to this, Novasome Research and Development Centre became a leader in the development of new technologies in the pharmaceutical industry. As a research and scientific institution, Novasome Research and Development Centre furthers innovation by regularly cooperating with pharmaceutical companies and higher education institutions, including the University of Wrocław, Wrocław Medical University, University of Environmental and Life Sciences in Wrocław. Moreover, Centrum Badawczo-Rozwojowe Novasome Sp. z.o.o. is a member of the elite Nutribiomed cluster and the Life Science Kraków cluster. OBK mainly specializes in: creating comprehensive documentation for a clinical trial, registering clinical trials with the Registration Office, obtaining research opinions from the Bioethics Committee, archiving biological material and documentation, and storing drug products and managing clinical trial data and research projects. Working with pharmacokinetic and analytical laboratories, it provides comprehensive services for the conduct and implementation of clinical trials. It has laboratory facilities equipped with an integrated system for measuring the temperature of equipment and controlling room conditions.
The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation machinery and equipment, including specialised machines for cryotherapy, deep oscillation and shock wave therapy, as well as the biodex technology or alfa and gamma platforms. As the only medical facility in Wrocław, it has a rehabilitation pool with a counter-current system for walking exercises. The hospital’s offer is complemented by a state-of-the-art operating theatre with high-end medical equipment.
Comprehensive and personalised approach to the needs and health condition of each patient as well as the high comfort level are ensured by small, two-patient rooms with free television and wireless Internet access, an on-site pharmacy and medical store, and the possibility to take advantage of medical transport services. The patients’ health is monitored by reliable and qualified staff, who, in their everyday work, combine passion and experience with a progressive approach to medical care.
The Vratislavia Medica hospital also occasionally engages in social events and partners with, among others, paralympic athletes such as Oliwia Jabłońska and Rafał Mikołajczyk. Not every young person gets a chance at a healthy, full and happy life. This is why, for years now, we have been supporting children with disabilities, often abandoned by their parents, who live in group homes in small towns. We prepare care packages, provide funds for summer vacation and educational trips, and we organise volunteer work.
We take part in integration initiatives. Since 2013, we have been working with Fundacja na Rzecz Rozwoju Audiodeskrypcji KATARYNKA (KATARYNKA Audio Description Development Foundation). Our activities together started from organising workshops for deaf and blind children “Fairy Tales Without Barriers. A Workshop in Imagination.” We helped create an audio description path for the blind and visually impaired in the Wroclaw ZOO. We also became involved in activities enabling vision and hearing impaired people to experience modern cinema. Twice, we supported the “It’s my time” fashion show employing models with disabilities.
For many years, we have been supporting healthcare institutions and organisations both financially and materially.
A hearing aid financing programme was also conducted. As part of it, we helped 85 hearing-impaired beneficiaries, giving them a chance to learn and live independently. To this cause, we donated: PLN 287,817.47. In addition to hearing aids, we also provided equipment for clinics for deaf children operating as part of Polski Związek Głuchych (Polish Association of the Deaf). They additionally received psychological tests necessary in diagnosing and rehabilitating children and young adults with hearing impairments.

As a way of promoting new discoveries and ambitious scientists, our Foundation organised 7 editions of contests awarding authors of the best science papers in pharmacy, biotechnology,
medicine, chemistry and related fields.
Our contests focus on promoting innovation that could be useful in the pharmaceutical and related industries. We have donated PLN 145,500 to this cause.
We also organise our original pharmaceutical workshops for local communities and schools. Thanks to us, children and young adults can get to know the work of a pharmacist and further their interest in biology.
We participate in various educational projects. As part of “Khan Academy po polsku” (“Khan Academy in Polish”), we helped fund the creation of high-quality educational materials in biology, medicine and health protection.
