Folic acid (Acidum folicum) 5mg or 15 mg.
ACIDUM FOLICUM HASCO is used in the treatment and prevention of folic acid deficiency.
ACIDUM FOLICUM should not be used in case of hypersensitivity to any ingredient of the medicine, megaloblastic anaemia (pernicious anaemia) due to vitamin B12 deficiency. Special caution is required with ACIDUM FOLICUM HASCO. Except during pregnancy and lactation, folic acid should not be given in therapeutic doses greater than 0.4 mg daily until megaloblastic anaemia has been ruled out, as it could improve haematological symptoms with further exacerbation of neurological symptoms. Medical advice should be sought even if the above warnings refer to past situations.
