Calcium Hasco

Composition

100 ml of the syrup contains:
Calcii glubionas anhydricus (calcium gluconolactobionate anhydrous) 29.4 g
Calcii lactobionas dihydricus (calcium lactobionate dihydrate) 6.4 g
which corresponds to 2.31 g calcium ions.

5 ml of syrup contains 115.6 mg calcium ions.

Excipients of known effect: 5 ml of the syrup contains 1.5 g of sucrose, 10 mg of sodium benzoate (E 211), approx. 3,99 mg of propylene glycol (E 1520) and 0.095 mg of benzyl alcohol.
Excipients of known effect: 5 ml of the syrup contains 1.5 g of sucrose, 10 mg of sodium benzoate (E 211), 1.35 mg of propylene glycol (E 1520) and 0.75 mg of ethanol.

Indications

Calcium is involved in many physiological processes and is an essential structural component of the body. It makes up approx. 1.5% body weight. About 99% of the body’s calcium is stored in bones.
Maintaining proper plasma calcium ion levels is essential for coagulation, muscle contractility, nervous conduction, cell membrane function. Calcium ions also decrease vascular wall permeability with anti-exudative and anti-oedematous effects.
The medicinal product can be used in pregnancy and lactation under doctor’s supervision.

Contraindications

Before giving the product to a child under 4 weeks of age, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted, especially in case of concomitant administration of other drugs containing propylene glycol or alcohol.
Patients liver or kidney diseases should consult a doctor before using the drug.
Calcium blood levels should be monitored in patients with renal failure and treated with high vitamin D doses.
An interval of 3 hours should be maintained between the ingestion of tetracyclines or fluorine compounds and calcium containing products.
