Clobetaxon

Composition

1 g of the ointment contains 0.5 mg of clobetasol propionate (Clobetasoli propionas).

Indications

Clobetaxon medicinal product in a form of ointment contains clobetasol propionate, potent corticosteroid for topical use.
Clobetaxon, ointment is indicated in adults, youth and children over 1 year of age, for the treatment of skin diseases that respond to corticosteroids such as:
• psoriasis (excluding generalised lesions),
• lichen planus,
• discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE),
• recurring dermatitis,
• treatment resistant skin diseases which could not be effectively treated with less potent corticosteroids.

Contraindications

Do not use Clobetaxon in the following cases:
• hypersensitivity to clobetasol propionate or any excipients listed in section 6.1,
• untreated skin infections,
• acne rosacea,
• acne,
• cheilitis,
• non-inflammatory itch,
• anal and genital itching,
• in children under 1 year of age,
• skin of the diaper area, as the diaper may act as an occlusive dressing.
