Each tablet contains 15 mg of meloxicam (Meloxicamum)
Mel Max is indicated in adult when the dose 7,5 mg was not effective enough. Anti-inflammatory and analgesic drug used in osteoarticular and muscle pain in rheumatoid and degenerative joint diseases. Used in the short-term treatment of exacerbations of rheumatoid diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis.
This medicinal product is contraindicated in the following situations: hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients or to substances with a similar action, e.g. non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), aspirin; meloxicam should not be given to patients who have developed signs of asthma, nasal polyps, angio-oedema or urticaria following the administration of aspirin or other NSAIDs; third trimester of pregnancy and when breastfeeding; in children and adolescents below 18 years of age; history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, related to previous NSAIDs therapy; active, or history of recurrent gastric and/or duodenal ulcer/haemorrhage (two or more distinct episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding); severely impaired liver function; non-dialysed severe renal failure; gastrointestinal bleeding, history of cerebrovascular bleeding or other bleeding disorders; severe heart failure.
