Mometaxon

Composition

1 g of the ointment contains 1 mg mometasone furoate (Mometasoni furoas).
Excipient of known effect: propylene glycol monopalmitate stearate

Indications

Mometaxon is indicated in the treatment of all skin inflammations and itching, responding to topical corticosteroids, such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis and contact dermatitis, due to irritation or allergy.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients.
Do not use in.
acne;
acne rosacea;
atrophic epidermis;
inflammatory conditions around lips;
bacterial infections (e.g. impetigo, abscesses dermatitis), viral infections (e.g. herpes simplex, shingles and varicella, warts, genital warts, molluscum contagiosum), fungal and parasitic skin infections (e.g. caused by dermatophytes or yeasts);
post-immunisation pyrexia;
cutaneous tuberculosis;
syphilis sores;
anal and genital itching;
diaper rash;
damaged and ulcerated skin.
