Quetiapine, 25 mg: each film-coated tablet contains quetiapine fumarate equivalent to 25 mg of quetiapine.
Quetiapine, 100 mg: each film-coated tablet contains quetiapine fumarate equivalent to 100 mg of quetiapine.
Quetiapine, 200 mg: each film-coated tablet contains quetiapine fumarate equivalent to 200 mg of quetiapine.
Excipient with known effect: lactose monohydrate.
Each Quetina tablet, 25 mg, contains 7 mg of lactose monohydrate.
Each Quetina tablet, 100 mg, contains 28 mg of lactose monohydrate.
Each Quetina tablet, 200 mg, contains 56 mg of lactose monohydrate.
The medicinal product Quetina is indicated for use:
– In the treatment of schizophrenia,
– In the treatment of bipolar affective disorder, including:
o Manic episodes of moderate to severe severity in the course of bipolar affective disorder,
o episodes of major depression in the course of bipolar affective disorder,
about preventing recurrence of manic episodes or depressive episodes in patients with bipolar affective disorder who responded to prior quetiapine treatment.
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients listed in section 6.1.
Concomitant use of cytochrome P450 3A4 system inhibitors such as HIV protease inhibitors, azole antifungals, erythromycin, clarithromycin, and nefazodone is contraindicated (see also section 4.5).
